Something happened to me when I got my dog, Pax. My life flipped upside down and things that I use to hold myself back in just started to work there way to the forefront. I have always been passionate about photography, writing, creative design, and social engagement. And I haven’t always had the guts to put myself out there because frankly I felt I wasn’t good enough and there were so many other people doing the same thing what would make me special…That’s until I got Pax.

I realized when I got Pax, that it isn’t about what everyone else is doing, it’s about my genuine love for my relationship with my dog. Being an only child, I have dreamt of the day I would have sibling/best friend. Although Pax is my fur child rather than my sibling the love we share filled a piece of my heart that was missing. He is my ultimate companion. When I am up late writing papers, he’s there. When I am curling my hair in the bathroom, he’s there. When I look down from my desk at work, he’s there. When i go to brunch with my girlfriends, he’s there. It must sound like I am not happily married to have this much admiration about an animal but if anything it has brought my family to the forefront. I use to suffer from FOMO all the time. I felt left out and compared myself to others.

When Pax came into our lives there was nowhere else I’d rather be than with my husband and our pup. Pax the Dood website and blog are being launched for many reasons. When I ask myself, what fuels me? What am I passionate about? I respond with I love writing about my passions, what interests me, what interests others, researching things, sharing my thoughts and ideas and bringing people together. Pax opened up my mind, heart, and raised my confidence to do things that I always wanted to but wasn’t ready to open the door. This is truly a passion project which seems to be gaining more traction everyday! Thank you for following our journey on Instagram and I hope you enjoy browsing our site and all the content being offered.  XOXO
